Barber Cottage Closing 2010 Ron Barber 10/25/2010
Hi... Ron B, Glen B, Scott E closed the Onset Island Barber Cottage for the 2010 season yesterday, Sunday, Oct 24, 2010... The process went very smoothly and the weather was very nice... We put shutters up, emptied the frig, put deck stuff inside, and took the boat out of the water... We took the boat out via the Onset public boat launch and Scott trailered it home for the winter... We saw a few people on the island and mainland: Billy C, Bobby W, Johnny R, and Tricia L... The new mainland catwalk looks nice... Thanks to those who worked on it... Bye for Now...

Visit to Onset Island Ralph Staples 7/20/2010
I wish to thank everyone who we talked with on our recent visit to Onset Island, the place of my birth. I also wish to thank Ron for posting some of the photos I took while on the island. The picture of me with Russ Perry on the beach shows the cement steps that I believe were the original steps to our summer cottage that washed across the bay in the '38 hurricane. We had a wonderful day and it brought back many memories of my childhood. Ralph W. Staples

Barber Cottage Opened for 2010 Ron Barber 4/20/2010
The Barber Family Opened their cottage for the 2010 season on April 17th... We needed to replace the water pump, but all else worked out smoothly... Thanks to Scott for his work on the pump... Thanks to all other family members who assisted this year... Great work by all... Sorry, no pictures at this time... Bye for Now...
